BABY BASICS WITH DR. BLAIR

This free-to-the-community class will be a laid-back, conversational discussion about what to expect with your baby in the first weeks of life. We will cover what you need at home before the baby comes, what products are safe and unsafe, and tips for navigating common challenges when the baby arrives.

Discussion will be targeted toward caregivers expecting a new baby, but anyone hoping to learn more about the newborn days is welcome to attend!

Dr. Blair Wright is a pediatrician who grew up here in Sandwich— even attending the Park District’s Mother Goose a couple of decades ago! She completed college at Illinois Wesleyan University then medical school at the University of Illinois through the nationally recognized “RMED” rural medicine program. Blair completed residency as a physician at Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City from 2019-2022 and has been back home for just over a year with a primary care pediatric practice right here in Sandwich. She looks forward to giving back to the community that raised her and to building connections that help make our community the best place to raise healthy and happy kids.
