February 25th – Register by February 17th

Discover the winter beauty at Starved Rock State Park on a guided hike. There’s a chance of spotting bald eagles soaring high in the sky or experiencing majestic, frozen waterfalls. Dress appropriately for the weather, including proper footwear such as Yaktrax. We will depart from the David A. Francis center at 8:45am and get to the Starved Rock Lodge at 10am. We will head out to see Wildcat Canyon (with its two observation decks) plus Lover’s Leap and Eagle Cliff. Lunch is included with your choice of turkey, ham or veggie wrap, bag of chips, granola bar, piece of fruit and bottled water. The hike will return at approximately 1pm to the lodge, then we will drive back to the David A. Francis Center and arrive around 2pm. Hikes are approximately 3 miles roundtrip with stairs.
